All improvement teams, in the UK and beyond, are welcome to take part in QI week, which runs from 8–12 September 2025.

QI Week is an annual event dedicated to celebrating and promoting Quality Improvement (QI).
During this week, healthcare organisations will hold local events and national online sessions to share learning, showcase improvement projects, discuss QI tools and methodologies, and connect with others passionate about improving patient care, staff experiences, and outcomes.

Monday 8 September, 13.30–14.30.
This session will explore the crucial role of lived experience in quality improvement at Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS FT. Speakers will share how their team has been working to put service users and carers at the heart of everything they do.
During this session, you will:
- Learn how the team developed a coproduction strategy.
- Hear the team’s journey of involving people with lived experience in QI work.
- Receive practical tips you can use to improve coproduction in your work.

This session is for anyone who wants to learn more about coproduction and how to effectively involve service users and carers in their work. Tuesday 9 September 2025, 13.30 – 14.30.
Somerset NHS FT is England’s first fully integrated healthcare provider. This session will reveal how, with board support, they transformed their approach to quality improvement (QI) by empowering colleagues at all levels to lead and own QI projects. Speakers will share their journey and provide key insights into their unique blended improvement model.

Wednesday 10 September 2025, 09.00 – 16.30
This is a collaborative event between NHS Hampshire and Isle of Wight ICB, The Academy of Research and Improvement, and NHS providers.
The theme of QI week is ‘QI is for everyone’ so the day is designed to be a system-wide, interactive opportunity to bring together people from Hampshire and Isle of Wight and beyond to share, learn and connect as we work together to build a community of continuous improvement and learning.
Speakers will include Q Managing Director, Penny Pereira, who will discuss ‘The critical power of connecting to improve’.
Friday 12 September 2025, 10.30 – 11.30.
This special QI Week ‘Spotlight on’ session will be led by The Academy of Research and Improvement from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS FT. Speakers will share their integrated approach to quality improvement. You will learn how their unique training model strengthens improvement capabilities, enhances referral pathways, and provides staff with the skills to drive change across the organisation.
