Implementing Continual Improvement (CI) in health care work processes
Join the Quality Management in health care group to hear how you can ensure that quality improvement is not just a one-time effort, but an on-going process.
About this session
This session organised by the Quality Management in health care online group. Q groups connect people with similar interests and are led by Q members.
In this session Dr Thomas Rose will explore how Continual Improvement (CI) fits into a larger QMS, helping health care organisations address non-conformities, implement corrective actions, and drive sustainable enhancements. He will discuss strategies for identifying improvement areas and embedding CI into daily work processes and engaging frontline staff to create a culture of ongoing quality enhancement.
A key focus will be the role of data collection and analysis in driving meaningful improvements. Tom will explain how measuring performance, tracking trends, and using evidence-based insights can help healthcare teams make informed decisions, reduce inefficiencies, and improve patient outcomes.
Tom will also be discussing his plan for the design and implementation of a Quality Management System in an NHS Trust to meet the requirements of NHS Impact and BS ISO 7101:2023, the first international consensus standard for healthcare quality management.
