Liberating Structures meet up: March 2025

This month we’ll try out the Liberating Structure Social Network Webbing together. Social Network Webbing illuminates hidden resources within an existing network of relationships and what steps to take to start tapping into those resources. It makes it easy to identify opportunities for building stronger connections as well as new ones.

This is for everyone and anyone who wants to learn about mapping informal connections and deciding ways to strengthen networks to achieve a purpose.

The meet-up is facilitated by Kristin Johnstad and Matthew Mezey. 

Straight after the meet-up Kristin and Matthew will host a 30 minute (from 1 pm – 1.30 pm) optional ​‘shift and share’. This is an opportunity to learn about some real-world network maps such as the Q community map, the Somerset improvers and others. 

Liberating Structures can be used to change the way we work and collaborate. They promote inclusive, innovative, and productive meetings and projects and are now used widely in improvement work. There are 33 structures to explore. Using them can quickly encourage lively participation in groups of any size, boost engagement, and enable connection and collaboration with others in a fun and inspiring way.

Q’s Liberating Structures group meets online each month to explore, practice and trial one or more of the Structures. It’s a supportive space, and everyone is welcome. The group meet ups are co-facilitated by members of the community. While there are varying levels of experience with Liberating Structures and facilitation in the group, no one is an expert. We rely on peer support. Everyone is safe to try something new and learn together through participation.
